Assoc. Prof. Marian Simka, MD, PhD – General Surgery, Angiology
A high-class specialist in general surgery and angiology. A graduate of Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. Since 1988 until 2001 he worked in the Clinic of General and Vascular Surgery in Katowice. Since 2000 he has administered a vascular clinic in Pszczyna. Doctor Simka, as a well-known and respected authority on vascular medicine, is a member of many scientific societies: International Union of Angiology, European Venous Forum and Polish Phlebological Society. He takes part in many symposia and international conventions where he gives presentations showing his researches conducted thus far.
In 2009, doctor Simka became a consultant vascular surgeon at EuroMedic in Katowice. Doctor Simka is an author of over 50 articles, mainly on the treatment and diagnosis of vascular diseases, in Polish and foreign scientific magazines. In October 2010 he earned a postdoctoral degree which is the highest academic qualification a person can achieve in certain European and Asian countries.
Tomasz Ludyga, MD, PhD – General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Angiology
Leading Surgeon and Head of EuroMedic Specialistic Clinic in Katowice. A graduate of Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. A high-class specialist in vascular surgery. Since 1988 until 2001 he worked in the Clinic of General and Vascular Surgery in Katowice.
Dr Ludyga has many years of professional experience as a vascular surgeon at Vascular Wards of numerous Silesian hospitals. In 2000 he started developing his own EuroMedic Specialist Clinic focusing on endovascular surgery treatments. In addition, since 2008, he has been working in the Department of Vascular Surgery in Regional Hospital in Sosnowiec. In 2009, together with doctor Marian Simka, he introduced Liberation Procedure for CCSVI patients in Poland.
Marek Kazibudzki, MD, PhD – General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Angiology
A graduate of Medical University of Silesia. Leading doctor of the vascular surgery at EuroMedic in Katowice. A specialist of second degree in general surgery, vascular surgery and angiology. He gained a long-term experience as an independent vascular surgeon in various medical facilities including EuroMedic in Katowice.
Dr Kazibudzki, as a high-ranking specialist, is an author of many publications in national and international press. The main theme of these publications is vascular diseases.
Piotr Janas, MD, PhD – neurology
A graduate of Medical University of Silesia. A specialist in neurology. He obtained the first degree in 1989 and the second degree in 1995. His gained an extensive experience while working in many clinics, hospitals and medical centers. He is a member of the European Society of Neurosonology and Cerebral Hemodynamics (ESNCH). Since early 2010, Dr. Janas works in EuroMedic Specialistic Clinic as a specialist in neurology.
Paweł Latacz, MD, PhD – cardiology, internal medicine
A high-class specialist in cardiology. He graduated of Medical University of Silesia in 1994. He has the highest (second) degree of specialization in internal medicine and long-term experience in his work gained e.g. on the ward of Hospital of Coronary Disease in Krakow and in the Clinic of Geriatric Neurology which belongs to Medical University of Silesia. For many years, Dr Latacz has intensively participated in trainings in interventional cardiology, e.g. in Barcelona, Paris and Lipsk. He is a member of Polish Society of Internal Medicine and Polish Cardiac Society.
Jacek Piegza, MD, PhD – internal medicine, cardiology
Dr Jacek Piegza, as a reputable physician, specialized in interventional cardiology,
is a member of Association of Polish Doctors. He graduated from the faculty of medicine on Medical University of Silesia in 1994. He got the second degree of specialization in the internal medicine in 2003 and he gained the PhD degree in cardiology in 2007. For 16 years he has been devoted to cardiology, completing courses and getting diplomas. Thanks to the numerous surgeries performed by him during the practice in the Silesian Centre of Heart Diseases in Zabrze as well as on the ward of EuroMedic Specialistic Clinic, Dr Piegza was able to gain experience and develop his skills. As a member of Polish Cardiac Society, Dr Piegza in an author and co-author of many academic papers published in renowned medical magazines in the country and abroad.
Aneta Adamczyk-Ludyga MD, PhD – ophthalmology
A graduate of Medical University of Silesia. A specialist in the field of ophthalmology. She has an extensive professional experience, obtained during her work in the hospitals in Katowice and Dąbrowa Górnicza. Since 2000, she has been the Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at EuroMedic Specialistic Clinic. In addition, she is a member of numerous medical societies, both Polish and foreign (Polish Ophthalmological Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the European Vitreoretinal Society). Dr Adamczyk-Ludyga is the author of numerous publications and articles in Polish and international medical specialist press.
Marcin Świerad, MD, PhD - cardiology
A graduate of Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. He obtained first and second degree of specialization in internal medicine and cardiology. He gained his experience among others at: Elisabeth Krankenhaus in Essen (Invasive Angiology), in Sweden (using intravascular ultrasound), at Ochsner Medical Institution in New Orleans (heart failure, transplantation, invasive cardiology and angiology), University of Pittsburgh (cardiology invasive), the Royal Free Hospital - University of London. Since 1996, he has been working in the Silesian Center for Heart Diseases in Zabrze. In addition, he has been cooperating with a few Centres of Invasive Cardiology, Regional Hospital in Rybnik and with the Polish Medical Group (centers in Czestochowa, Chorzow and Zakopane). In EuroMedic Specialistic Clinic he is a specialist cardiologist.
The administrative unit of EuroMedic Poland – Patients’ Coordinators Office deals with the complex organization of the treatment. Our staff coordinates all examinations before, during and after the procedure.
